These Townhouse Studio Apartments found at Avon Way House in Colchester are ideal for students who love having all the amenities close at hand. The rooms themselves are stylish, and provide a double bed alongside a study area and storage space. Cooking facilities are available in the room, with a hob, microwave and fridge/freezer at your fingertips. The room also comes with an en-suite equipped with a shower, toilet and sink.

The Townhouse Studio Apartment common area comes with everything a student could need to be comfortable. The shared lounge is available to everyone in the apartment, and has a smart TV as standard. Unlike most other apartments, the shared kitchen includes a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Take advantage of the Free Glide Wifi available throughout your Townhouse Studio Apartment, and the rest of Avon Way House. Free Glide Wifi is available with speeds up to 10mbps, but some apartments may be able to upgrade for a small fee by contacting hospitality by phone, email, or through our contact form when they move in.

Facilities

Our Student Hub space within Avon Way House is a fantastic spot for students to socialise and collaborate.

There’s no end of entertainment available, with pool room, games room and cinema room free to access at any time.

Food is also catered for, with snacks available from the Student Cafe and vending machines available 24/7.

You can knuckle down in the shared and quiet study spaces, and share notes and practice presentations in the meeting room.

Tenants can also use the available gym/studio space. This was developed specifically to allow students of Avon Way House a safe space to exercise all year round.

All tenants of Avon Way House should be aware that to use the meeting room, pool room or gym/studio space, it is best to check availability and book in advance to save any disappointment.

Don’t forget to reach out to the hospitality and maintenance teams available on-site. Hospitality are available to answer any questions you have around Avon Way House, your tenancy, and Colchester in general. The maintenance staff are on hand to help repair any failed appliances and respond to plumbing and electrical issues around the property.

Outdoor area

Enjoy a relaxing walk around the peaceful landscaped garden in the grounds. It was designed to help tenants relax and unwind after a long day of studying, so make use of it whenever you need.

Secure Bike racks are available too, and easy to use and access at any time.

For tenants who drive, parking is also available at Avon Way House. Please be aware though that it is on a first-come first-served basis, so a spot cannot always be guaranteed.

Please also be aware that CCTV security cameras are placed through the Avon Way grounds. These cameras were installed to help ensure the safety and security of everyone on the site.

Transport Links from Avon Way House

Both Colchester city centre and the University of Essex campus are a hop, skip and a jump away from Avon Way House.

Get to the campus via the Shuttle Bus, or take a leisurely walk and get there in 15 minutes! It’s an easy cycle too, approximately only 5 minutes away by bike.

Getting into Colchester itself is simple, just hop on the bus that arrives directly outside Avon Way House. These buses come through frequently, so getting out to socialise and shop will never be a struggle.

For those out late, consider catching the Safe Bus home, which travels from the Zero nightclub directly to Avon Way House.

How do I pay my utility bills?

When you sign up for a contract with Avon Way House, you will make a one-off payment of £295.00.  This payment covers the cost of your utility bills for the length of your contract.

What if there aren’t any Townhouse Studio apartments available?

If no Townhouse Studio apartments are available, consider looking into our Large Studio Apartments, Countryside View Studio Apartments and Standard Studio Apartments. Each offers similar amenities, and can provide the same experience as a Standard Studio apartment.

Can I share an apartment with my friends?

If you wish to share an apartment with friends, you could also consider moving to our 2 bed, 3 bed, 4 bed, 5 bed, or 6 bedroom apartments. These apartments were designed to help students find a place alongside people they know, and provide the perfect opportunity to live with your friendship circle.
